ISTTs Knowledge-based Company Becomes Executor of a National Macro-Development Plan

A three-way agreementwas signed among ISTTs knowledge-based company, Moien Zist Aria as the executor, the Vice Presidency of Science and Technology as the taskmaster and Maroon Petrochemical Company as the beneficiary for building “A Desalination Site for Spontaneous Filtration of Unorthodox Water Rescores”. With ISTTs pursuit and support on behalf of the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology the agreement was signed in Tehran during the closing ceremony of the Research and Technology Week’s Exhibition.

The objective to this agreement was to facilitate the proper use and management of water at the site and to combat the environmental challenges that confound Maroon Petrochemical Company while it operates by taking advantage of the innovative and technological ideas of Knowledge-based companies active in this field.

ISTTs knowledge-based company Moien Zist Aria which is the executor of this plan first started its activities at ISTT on developing environmentally friendly processes and technologies in 2012. After extensive research about desalination processes for salt water and ultra salty water, the company was able to design and produce a desalination site by the name of “A Spontaneous Filtration Desalination Site”. The advantages to using this new process and site in comparison to previous methods are in its applicability to different climates and its lower usage of electrical power. This Spontaneous Filtration is of a ZLD type (leaves no backwater) which can filter unorthodox water resources with high levels of salinity.
